Discourses on education is a result of the deliberations and reflections of teacher educators and researchers on educational practices , procedures and how they have impacted society . The papers are revised in response to the emergent needs of Indian education . They stress certain key issues of Indian Education - Education as a gender sensitising tool , impact of technology on education , alternative educational pedagogy , science and the importance of building the scientific temper in the individual .
